Welcome Back!!!!  On behalf of the staff at Mumford, we hope you had a great summer.


School Day: The school building will be open at 7:30 a.m.  Our school day is from 7:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. Students arriving at school after 7:45 a.m. will be counted tardy and are subject to disciplinary action.  


Bus: The buses must leave their designated stops in Hearne by 7:05 a.m. and will return at approximately 3:35 p.m. We are all concerned about the safety of the children, please abide by the bus rules and information, as well as the pick-up/drop off instructions for the school parking lot.


Student Contact Form: We must keep each student's contact information updated, please complete the attached Contact Form and return it by Friday, August 23.


During the school year, please notify the school if your contact information changes.

Health History Forms:  Please complete the Health History Form and return to the school nurse. This information will help the school nurse assist with your child's medical needs.


Blackboard Connect: Mumford ISD utilizes the Blackboard Connect system to notify parents of school delays or cancellations due to inclement weather, as well as remind parents about various school events.

It is important to keep your telephone number and/or email address updated in order for you to receive these messages.


Breakfast and Lunch Program:  Mumford ISD offers breakfast and lunch each day. Please complete the National School Lunch Application for free or reduced meals. On the reduced program, the school offers breakfast for $0.30 and lunch for $0.40. Paid student lunch is $2.75 and breakfast is $1.50. The NSLP application must be completed and approved in order for a student to receive free or reduced-price meals, please complete and return the lunch application by Friday, August 23.


Occupational Survey:  Mumford ISD offers the National Migrant Program for student(s) whose family has worked in an agricultural-related occupation. Please complete the survey and return it to the school by Friday, August 23.


Residency Questionnaire:  Mumford ISD is required by the McKinney-Vento Act to have families complete for each student the Student Residency Questionnaire. Please complete the Student Residency Questionnaire and return it to the school by Friday, August 23.


Required Parent Forms: This year you will receive a packet of important information titled "Required Parent Forms"; these forms include information and required signature pages on the Code of Conduct, Student Handbook and the Communication and Data (computer use) Guidelines, along with other various forms. In the "required parent forms" packet there is a place for you to request a paper copy of these documents OR you can access them electronically on our school website (www.mumford.k12.tx.us) under the "Student Handbooks" link. The Student Handbook and Code of Conduct are designed to answer most of your questions about the school and its policies. Please review these documents with your child; then complete the required signature pages and return them to the school by Friday, August 23.  


Working Together: We are looking forward to a very successful school year and we know it will be, if everyone works together. It is very important that you as parents/guardians take an interest in your child's education by encouraging him/her to study and work hard.
